The Sacrament of Confirmation
Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation begins in grade 9 and includes monthly small group meetings, a retreat, and an interview with the pastor and coordinator. The small groups are held one Sunday a month. The time is determined by the small group leader. Confirmation is celebrated in the fall of the 10th grade year.
Faith Formation Participation Expectation
To help ensure that youth have a firm grounding in faith prior to being fully initiated at Confirmation, it is expected that all students preparing to receive the sacrament of Confirmation in the fall of 2018 will be registered for faith formation classes for a minimum of two years (both the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 academic years). Faith formation is offered in parish-sponsored programs, home-school programs or through enrollment at Lourdes High School.
Faith formation opportunities are available at Holy Spirit on Sundays (11:15 AM-12:45 PM) and Wednesdays (6:15-7:30 PM).
