The Sacrament of Confirmation
Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation begins in grade 9 and includes monthly small group meetings, a retreat, and an interview with the pastor and coordinator. The small groups are held one Sunday a month. The time is determined by the small group leader. Confirmation is celebrated in the fall of the 10th grade year.

Confirmation Class Participation Expectation
Holy Spirit’s goal for those newly initiated into the Catholic faith is that they will be ready to be missionary disciples of our Lord, Jesus Christ. To help ensure that youth have a firm grounding in faith prior to Confirmation and are empowered to preach the Gospel, it is expected that all students preparing to receive the sacrament of Confirmation in the fall of 2024 will be registered for Confirmation classes.
Confirmation classes:- Sundays (11:15 AM-12:45 PM)
The online registration deadline was July 28.

Are We Missing Anyone?
If you know someone from Holy Spirit with students in this age range, please invite them to consider being confirmed. All students currently in Grade 8 (entering Grade 9 in the fall of 2023) are welcome to register!

Confirmation 2024
Students currently in Grade 8 and up are welcome to join the Confirmation preparation process at Holy Spirit! These students will be confirmed in the fall of 2025.
All documents that need to be filled out (after registering above) are on the left of this page.

How can you help?
Parent volunteers are needed to help with the retreat in a couple of ways:
- Help with the meal during the retreat. Volunteers will help set up, serve and clean up following the meal. Time commitment is from 5:00-6:30 PM.
- Be a Host Family- Host 2 or more NET Team members at your home overnight. You would come to Holy Spirit to pick up the NET team members, provide a place to sleep and shower, provide breakfast in the morning and bring the NET team members back to Holy Spirit in the morning. Time commitment is from 10 PM-7:30 AM.

- hosting NET Team members overnight after the Confirmation retreat
- serving as a Liturgical Minister at the Confirmation Mass
